WHAT IS A MISTING SYSTEM
A modern misting system is an intelligent network of precision-engineered pipes and nozzles that harnesses high-pressure pump to convert water into a fine aerosol mist. This creates millions of micro-droplets that evaporate almost instantaneously, delivering efficient ambient air cooling and humidification without any moisture buildup. This makes it an ideal solution for maintaining optimal environmental conditions across diverse applications.
TYPES OF MISTING SYSTEMS
Misting systems are primarily categorized into three types based on their operating pressure, which directly influences droplet size and application suitability.
HIGH-PRESSURE MISTING SYSTEMS
These represent the most advanced form of misting technology. By operating at 800–1000 PSI, they produce exceptionally fine droplets (10–15 microns) that are technically classified as fog. This ultra-fine mist evaporates almost instantly, a process known as flash evaporation, which allows for effective cooling and humidification without wetting surfaces. Their versatility makes them the ideal choice for both indoor and outdoor applications, including commercial, industrial, residential and almost all environments.

MID-PRESSURE MISTING SYSTEMS
These operate at a lower pressure range of 150–200 PSI, creating 25–40 microns sized droplets technically referred to as mist. While effective for outdoor cooling, the coarser droplets take longer to evaporate and are not recommended for indoor use. Mid-pressure systems offer a moderate performance and cost around 45% less, compared to high pressure misting. Which makes them a suitable option for projects with limited budgets.
Mid-pressure misting systems from Aves Fog comprise of top-grade vane & diaphragm pumps, supported by nylon push-lock misting accessories and PE tubes. These are designed to handle pressure up to 450 PSI.
LOW-PRESSURE MISTING SYSTEMS
Operating at just 50–100 PSI, low-pressure misting systems produce large droplets (100–300 microns) technically described as spray. Due to the significant surface wetting, their application is limited to tasks like drip irrigation, pesticide & disinfectants spraying, and bathing livestock. These systems are not suitable for general cooling and humidification.
